Ausgangspunkt f\u00fcr dieses Projekt waren die t\u00e4glichen Bilder und Bildunterschriften in der Boulevardpresse, insbesondere die so genannten 'Miezen' \u2013 die Bilder von nackten Frauen in erotischen Posen. Diese Text-Bild-Kombinationen sind so gestaltet, dass sie die W\u00fcnsche, Vorurteile und Neugier des Lesers aufrechterhalten, best\u00e4tigen und befriedigen.<\/p>

Trotz ihrer starken Anziehungskraft werden diese sensationellen Botschaften in der Regel weggeworfen, was einen starken Kontrast zwischen der starken Absicht, die hinter diesen Text-Bild-Strategien steht, und ihrem letztendlichen Schicksal im M\u00fcll aufzeigt.<\/p>

Um die Wiederverwendung fl\u00fcchtiger Botschaften zu untersuchen, konzentrierte sich die Arbeit Wiedergabe<\/strong> auf die Wiederverwendung von Inhalten aus Boulevardzeitungen. In einem \u00f6ffentlich zug\u00e4nglichen Arbeitsraum trennte ich die Texte von den dazugeh\u00f6rigen Bildern und \u00fcbertrug diese Botschaften akribisch durch Sticken auf ein anderes Medium (billige Taschent\u00fccher). Durch diesen zeitaufw\u00e4ndigen Prozess werden die Texte nicht nur stabilisiert und konserviert, sondern auch aus ihrem urspr\u00fcnglichen, spontanen Kontext herausgel\u00f6st und r\u00e4tselhaft.<\/p>

Zum Beispiel eine Bildunterschrift wie \"Was f\u00fcr ein \u00c4rger: Niemand hat einen Blick f\u00fcr Corinnas Puzzle. Tja, liebe K\u00fcnstlerin: Man lenkt das Publikum ja auch nicht ab\", verliert ihre unmittelbare Bedeutung, wenn sie vom Foto isoliert und gestickt wird.<\/p>

Die investierte Zeit gibt diesen Texten einen neuen Wert und verwandelt sie durch das traditionelle Handwerk des Stickens. Dieser Akt wird zu einer Geste der Klage \u00fcber die Objektivierung und Gewalt, die der Darstellung von K\u00f6rpern und Blicken innewohnt.<\/p>

Die Arbeit und ihre Ergebnisse gipfelten in einer Installation, die sich \u00fcber mehrere Tage entwickelte und Einblicke in einen Prozess gew\u00e4hrte, der normalerweise auf die Intimit\u00e4t eines Ateliers beschr\u00e4nkt bleibt.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Wiedergabe<\/strong> wurde f\u00fcr das Performance-Festival DO YOU UNDERSTAND von zeitraumexit_ex!t<\/a> entwickelt. Das Thema des Festivals war die Kunst als Methode, die verschiedenen \u201aMedien\u2018 der Sprache zu erforschen.<\/p>
